Youth Summer Program

Youth Summer Program

We are thrilled to present an incredible lineup of community-based organizations (CBOs) and activities for this year's youth summer program. NYSMICJ (New York State Mentoring and Instruction for Civil Justice) takes center stage, offering a unique opportunity to educate and mentor young minds about Civil Service and Law Enforcement careers. With a focus on career readiness, tuition reimbursement, and retirement options, NYSMICJ aims to shape the trajectory of futures, benefiting both the youth and their families. Don't miss out on their annual symposium in September, featuring captivating workshops designed especially for young attendees.

Another remarkable organization joining us is Tuskegee, with year-round programming catering to youth. This CBO provides scholarship options to Dutchess Community College and even offers free pilot's licenses—a fantastic chance for aspiring aviators! Tuskegee is particularly keen on engaging youth from Poughkeepsie, and this summer program can serve as an excellent starting point for their involvement.

To ensure that every child feels comfortable and equipped for the activities, Sole to Sole steps in, providing snug sneakers and clothing. We believe that physical fitness and recreation go hand in hand, which is why we're excited to introduce Warlord Wrestling Club. Through this club, participants will develop transferable skills applicable to various aspects of life.

Additionally, we're proud to introduce SOT (Saving Our Tomorrow), a program focused on creating a productive and safe environment for all. By implementing preventive measures, SOT aims to educate young minds about the harmful effects of substances on their growing bodies. Our goal is to incorporate factual information, fun elements, and exciting incentives to ensure everyone's continual progress.

We sincerely invite all parents and children to join us for an unforgettable summer program filled with learning, growth, and a whole lot of fun. With the support of these exceptional CBOs and their engaging activities, we're confident that this summer program will be a life-changing experience for everyone involved.

Youth Empowerment Event

Attention, Parents!

We have an incredible opportunity for you and your children that you won't want to miss. Saving Our Tomorrows, a non-profit organization founded by Jasmaine Clay, is hosting an empowering event that is specifically designed to make a positive impact on the lives of our youth. Get ready for an experience that will uplift, inspire, and transform.

Why should you and your children attend this event? Let us give you four compelling reasons:

Empowering Discussions: Our event will feature age-specific group discussions where your children can engage in meaningful conversations about God and real-life issues. These discussions will equip them with valuable insights, help them navigate challenges, and promote personal growth both spiritually and emotionally. It's a unique opportunity for them to gain wisdom and guidance from experienced mentors.

Supportive Community: We firmly believe that youth are the future and deserve all the love and support they can get. That's why we've created a welcoming and inclusive environment where they can feel valued, supported, and empowered. Through this event, we aim to show them just how much they are loved by God, their local church, and the community around them. Together, we can inspire them to reach their full potential.

Unforgettable Fun: We've planned a day filled with exciting activities and entertainment that your children will absolutely love. From engaging games to thrilling prizes and even a pizza break, they'll have a blast connecting with their peers, making new friends, and creating lasting memories. It's an opportunity for them to let loose, have fun, and experience the joy of being part of a vibrant community.

No Financial Barrier: We firmly believe that every child deserves a chance to participate, which is why this event is completely free of charge. Our goal is to remove any financial barriers and ensure that every child can benefit from this empowering experience. Your child's growth and well-being matter to us, and we want to make this event accessible to all families.

Don't miss out on this life-changing event for your children. Sign and return the attached Parent Consent Form to secure their spot. Remember, it is mandatory for parents to accompany their child to the event to ensure their safety and enjoyment.

Save the date: June 3rd from 1-4 p.m. at St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church located at 73 Pershing Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY. Be there with your child to witness the transformation and make lasting memories together.
