Juneteenth holds great significance as the day that marked the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. It serves as a reminder of the struggles endured and the progress made towards achieving equality and justice. We believe that by organizing a collaborative event focused on addressing key issues affecting our youth, we can create a lasting impact on their lives and pave the way for their success.
Our primary goal for this event is to bring together community-based organizations (CBOs), grassroots organizations, workforce development experts, mental health professionals, trauma specialists, and educators who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young individuals. By pooling our collective expertise, resources, and passion, we aim to develop solution-driven strategies and programs that will empower our youth to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
